Lucinda Everett Horton is found in the 1880 census in Caglesville, Pope County, Arkansas, T9-0054, Page 72A, with two children: Robert (b. 1860) and Joan (b. 1863). Lucinda was born in Tennessee; her husband is dead by 1880. I believe this Joan (born in 1863) is really Pleasant Joanna Horton.

  • Both Pleasant's parents were born in Alabama; James' mother was born in Arkansas and his father was born in Tennessee.
